Growth in number of passengers carried on european routes makes this TAP's best ever april

TAP has once more seen a month during which the number of passengers has risen, with 1.35 million passengers flying on the TAP network in April. The company recorded an increase of 17.4% in the number of passengers carried since the start of the year, a total of 703,000 more passengers than during the same period in 2017.
 
European routes, especially Spain (up 22.6%), Germany (up 19.2%) and France (up 11%), were those with the strongest growth, with TAP carrying 108,000 more passengers than in April 2017.
 
Another April highlight was the Lisbon-Funchal and Lisbon-Paris routes which carried more than 62,000 passengers in a single month for the first time.
 
The load factor in April remained the same as the previous month at an average of 85%, although the routes to the United States and Canada recorded load factors of 88.5%, while on the Brazil routes 86.4% of the seats were filled.
 
TAP’s Cargo business also experienced growth in April. The company carried 6,844 tonnes of cargo and post, which was a 17% increase on the same month in 2017.
