Direct daily flights between Portugal and Israel

TAP’s inaugural flight between Lisbon and Tel Aviv landed at Ben Gurion airport at 9:30pm, after a journey of little more than five hours to connect the two cities.
 
TAP now offers a daily flight between Lisbon and Tel Aviv, leaving the Portuguese capital at 2:30pm and arriving in Israel at 9:30pm. Flights leave Tel Aviv at 5:05am, arriving in Lisbon at 9am (local times).

Israel has a population of around 9 million and welcomes more than 4 million tourists each year The local currency is the New Israeli Shekel (NIS) and the official languages are Hebrew and Arabic. Jerusalem is one of the country’s main tourist attractions, and is home to the holy sites of several religions The Church of the Holy Sepulchre (Christian), the Wailing Wall (Jewish) and the Al-Aqsa Mosque (Muslim) are all close to each other.
But Tel Aviv, Jaffa, Nazareth, Tiberias, Caesarea, Haifa, the Dead Sea region, as well as the Palestinian towns of Bethlehem and Jericho, are also have their attractions.
With this new route, TAP can now offer its Lisbon hub as a preferred connection for flights between the United States, Brazil and Israel, offering an incredibly comfortable and competitive service to these markets.

This Sunday the airline also launched another two new routes: to Dublin and Basel.

TAP offers two flights a day to Dublin, leaving Lisbon at 7:05am and 2pm, arriving in the Irish capital at 9:50am and 4:45pm, respectively, with return flights leaving Dublin at 10:35am and 5:30pm, arriving at Humberto Delgado airport at 1:15pm and 8:10pm, respectively.

There are also two flights a day between Lisbon and Basel, departing Lisbon at 6:40am and 3:50pm, arriving in Basel at 10:20am and 7:30pm, respectively. Flights leave Basel for Lisbon at 11:05am and 8:15pm, arriving in the Portuguese capital at 1pm and 10:10pm, respectively.

These are the company’s first new promotional destinations of 2019, and will be followed by services to Chicago (1 June), San Francisco (10 June), Tenerife and Naples (15 June), Washington DC (16 June) and to Conakry, Guinea (3 July).

TAP is to receive 37 new aircraft by the end of this year, and 71 by 2025, providing the company with the world’s most modern fleet. 
 
This fleet renewal and expansion has enabled the company to announce new routes and more flights.
