TAP's museum space is part of the Air Museum, where we keep our historical heritage preserved and accessible to the public.

About the museum

The TAP museum center was created back in 1978. The TAP museum was opened on March 14, 1985, as part of the celebrations of the company's 40th anniversary. The museum was located at our headquarters, right next to Lisbon Airport.

In 2010, due to the old venue's space limitations, a partnership between TAP, the Portuguese Air Force and ANA Aeroportos created the new Air Museum, where the TAP Museum exhibition is still open to the public.

The Air Museum collection showcases the history of military and civil aviation in Portugal, including about 40 TAP aircraft - among which the famous DC3-Dakota.

The Air Museum also features a library with 5,000 titles, available for referral and research projects, as well as a Multimedia Room.

The TAP Campus houses limited access documents and the TAP Museum archive.
