TAP Clients donate half a million miles to give two Porto institutes a warmer Christmas

TAP challenged its TAP Miles&Go clients to donate their miles to support a charity campaign in partnership with the JN Solidário Association.

In the two weeks since the campaign’s launch, TAP clients donated half a million miles that were converted into products from the TAP Store that were then donated to the two Porto institutes and the children and young people they help. The Casa do Gaiato and Centro Juvenil de Campanhã were the two chosen institutions.

Duvets, backpacks, tops and other products are just some of the Christmas presents from our clients to those most in need.

Captain José Viana, director of the Porto base, and chief purser Susana Ferreira, both acting on behalf of the company and its clients, delivered dozens of gifts from the TAP Store to each institute.

“A very big thanks to all our clients who took part in this campaign. We are very proud to have been able to help give these young people a merrier Christmas. We will always retain our social identity and continue to support the best causes. TAP is solidarity and Portugal”, said Captain José Viana.

The institutions, which were chosen by the JN Solidário Foundation, provide care and support for children and young people who are at risk.

TAP has helped several charity initiatives, the most recent of which is the Solidarity Auction for UNICEF and Christmas activities in partnership with the Salvador Association.
