TAP presented today, during its birthday party at the BTL (Lisbon Tourism Fair), the 'Brazil Stopover' program, which encourages European passengers who travel to Brazil to discover two Brazilian destinations in one trip, at no additional cost. Stopover customers will be able to stay one to five nights in Brasília, Recife, Rio de Janeiro, Fortaleza or Salvador, and then fly to another Brazilian city, with exclusive offers in these Stopover destinations.

"Brazil Stopover strengthens TAP's position as the leading company for Brazil, taking advantage of the geo-strategic advantages of the TAP Hub in Lisbon. It also demonstrates our continuous effort to create products that meet the needs of our customers," said TAP CEO Antonoaldo Neves. Almost 2 million of the approximately 16 million passengers carried by TAP in 2018 traveled between Portugal and Brazil, to and from the 10 Brazilian cities where the company operates, which represents an increase of 8% over the previous year. TAP signed a memorandum of understanding today with the states of Bahia, Ceará, Pernambuco and Rio de Janeiro, as well as with the Federal District of Brasília, to launch the Stopover Program in these regions and establish the commitment of working together and investing to create a different product.
