TAP Air Portugal entered into a Commercial Cooperation Agreement with Azul S.A. on Thursday. The new agreement, purely commercial and aiming to achieve synergies between the TAP and Azul networks for the benefit of Clients, will contribute to the increase in connectivity between the European market and the Brazilian market, offering a better product and greater convenience to their passengers.
The two Airlines will focus their efforts on sales between Europe and Brazil, introducing improvements throughout each operation (schedules and network) in order to provide their Clients with the best travel options.
Azul is the airline with the largest number of flights between cities within Brazil, which will enable TAP to offer more flight options and more Brazilian destinations.
Implementation of this agreement does not entail any shareholder change for TAP or Azul, which will continue to be two legally and economically independent entities.
