TAP is Europe's Best Airline for Africa and South America

The airline also receives MICE Award for “Europe’s Best MICE Airline".

TAP Air Portugal received a double honour in Berlin at the joint ceremony of the World Travel Awards (WTA) and the MICE Awards.

It was chosen as the Best European Airline flying to Africa and South America at the WTA 2024, but this year it was also honoured as the Europe’s Best MICE Airline at the MICE Awards 2023.

The MICE Awards are the WTA's "sister" event for the Meetings, Incentive, Congress and Exhibition (MICE) area and this year they honoured TAP.

For the seventh year running, TAP has been honoured by the World Travel Awards as the best European airline flying to Africa and South America.

To Africa, TAP has 85 weekly flights from Porto and Lisbon to 14 destinations in Angola, Mozambique, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, São Tomé and Príncipe, Morocco, Senegal, Gambia and Ghana.
It offers 80 weekly flights to Brazil and will increase frequencies in 2024 to a total of 96 flights a week to 11 Brazilian capitals. An average of 13 a day, reaffirming TAP as the most important international airline linking Brazil to Europe. In South America, it also flies to Venezuela, with direct flights between Funchal and Caracas.

The World Travel Awards honour the best in world tourism in dozens of categories and in various parts of the world. The trophies awarded in this edition join those already won in previous editions, as TAP was voted the best European Airline flying to Africa in 2011, 2012, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023 and the best European Airline flying to South America in 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023.

The winners of the World Travel Awards were chosen through an online voting process, mostly by travel and tourism professionals such as travel agents, operators and tourism organisations from various countries, but also by the general public.

TAP currently flies to 85 destinations, with more than 1,250 flights a week.
