TAP opens applications to support new "Causes with Wings"

• TAP Donate Miles social responsibility initiative has already helped more than 60 institutions

TAP Air Portugal is opening applications to select new partners for the TAP Donate Miles "Causas com Asas" (Causes with Wings) programme, a social responsibility initiative that allows TAP Miles&Go Clients, TAP's loyalty programme, to donate miles that are then exchanged for airline tickets and allow help to be brought to where it is most needed.

AMI, Helpo and Terra dos Sonhos are currently partner organisations for the 2022-2024 triennium. Applications for new partners for the 2024-2026 triennium are open from 2 to 31 May via the online address https://www.flytap.com/en-pt/miles-and-go/spend-miles/donate-miles. 

Created in 2007, the TAP Donate Miles programme has already helped more than 60 institutions, which have benefited from millions of donated miles and made solidarity trips possible on the TAP network of destinations. The company is now renewing and extending the TAP Donate Miles programme, supporting three more partners each year and offering even more miles. 

Entities legally incorporated in Portugal, registered and recognised as IPSS, NGOs or NGDOs, which develop or intend to develop non-profit social responsibility initiatives in Portugal and other countries in the TAP network can apply.

In the first year, the selected organisations receive one million miles from TAP. In addition to this donation, each charity has the opportunity to raise up to one million miles for each year of the partnership in donations made by TAP Miles&Go Programme Clients.

Once the applications have been closed, TAP will select the organisations whose projects meet the objectives defined by the Company as part of its sustainability programme.
