TAP readjusts winter operation

TAP will readjust its winter operation in order to best protect its passengers. This measure is caused by several constraints: effects of the change to the Top Sky navigation system in Lisbon, migration of the air control system in Marseille, by the absenteeism expected over Christmas and the end of the year, and also because it was not possible to return an aircraft from Guinea-Conakry.

The change in the winter operation will start to apply from 15 November and run until 31 December. Up to seven flights per day, on average, may be cancelled on connections with lower occupancy and for which there are several alternatives available on the TAP network or partner airlines. Passengers affected by the cancelled flights will be informed directly and in good time by TAP, with an indication of the alternative travel solution.

To avoid the cancellation of additional flights and maintain the operation at maximum capacity, TAP will also extend the ACMI contract with Air Bulgaria.

The TAP teams have been doing a demanding, careful and detailed work to analyze the constraints that this readjustment causes and protect both passengers and the TAP operation as best as possible. TAP is taking this action proactively thinking in our clients and to minimize the last minutes cancellations.

TAP apologizes in advance to the affected passengers, knowing how important the Christmas season is for all its customers, and is making every effort to ensure that everyone can make the journeys they have planned without any setbacks.
