PAX International readers attribute Excellence Award to TAP's Onboard Meal Service.

 

After winning the first place in the “Best Business Class Amenity Kit in Europe” category in 2019, TAP has just received the “Outstanding Food Service by a Carrier in Europe” award from the readers of PAX International magazine. The 15th PAX International Readership Awards ceremony - which was also an opportunity to celebrate the magazine's 25th anniversary - was held on June 15 in Hamburg, Germany. 

According to Joel Fragata, head of TAP's In-Flight & On-Ground Product, this award "is an important recognition, by our Passengers, of the work that TAP has been doing over the last few months in terms of in-flight service. There is a lot of room for improvement, but this award gives us the confidence we need to continue improving the service we deliver to our Guests on board."

The organizers point out that this year's PAX International Readership Awards have a special significance, as they aim to reward the efforts made by airlines over the last two years, which were severely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. The awards reflect the votes cast online by passengers from all over the world. "We're thrilled to be honouring the perseverance that we have all witnessed in the last couple of years," said Editor-in-Chief Rick Lundstrom at the event. “ We want to share a very big thank you to the industry and to our valued readership who casted their ballots once again. Congratulations to the winners!"
