The new space at Lisbon Airport has an area of 380m2 and the capacity to receive more than a hundred people at the same time.
TAP will soon be opening a new lounge in the international area of Lisbon Airport for passengers traveling to countries outside the European Union.
The space, beyond the security control area, is intended to provide more comfort, convenience, and privacy for passengers on flights outside the Schengen area. It has an area of 380 m2 and capacity for around 100 people and will be open every day between 5am and midnight, in an environment that highlights Portugal.
For Sofia Lufinha, TAP's Chief Customer Officer, "improving customer service is a priority for TAP. This new lounge was a need we had already identified and which we have now been able to fulfill. TAP has a very strong presence in markets such as Brazil, the United States or Africa and now we can provide a more comfortable experience for passengers on non-Schengen flights."
The project for the new lounge was developed by Alma Design, which describes the concept as a "harmonious fusion of functionality and aesthetics that provides passengers with an ideal place to retreat, relax and prepare for the next stage of their journey, celebrating Portugal's cultural heritage, while reflecting the Company's sustainability strategy, thanks to the choice of local, sustainable and authentic materials". Cork and ceramics, for example, will be featured.
The specific areas for meals, work, meetings, and relaxation ensure passengers' privacy and comfort. There is also space for temporary exhibitions by Portuguese artists, offering TAP and Star Alliance passengers an insight into Portuguese culture and creativity.
Ambaar is responsible for managing the new TAP Lounge, which has a buffet area with the collaboration of Cateringpor, which provides hot and cold options of national cuisine that can be enjoyed next to a glassed-in area overlooking the airport. Every detail has been thought out to create a memorable experience of hospitality and the Portuguese embrace, with the care and attention that TAP dedicates to each of its passengers.
