TAP Stopover voted best programme by North American Global Traveler

Airline receives award for best Stopover for the sixth consecutive year.

For the sixth time in a row, TAP's Stopover programme has been named the best Stopover programme by Global Traveler magazine at the 12th edition of the Leisure Lifestyle Awards, at a ceremony held this week in Philadelphia, USA.

Every year Global Traveler magazine honours the best in the world of leisure and lifestyle travel, rewarding goods, services, destinations, hotels, airlines, airports, cruises and much more. This trophies were awarded following a survey of more than 817,000 readers between 15 July 2023 and 8 March 2024. This survey was available to answer online, published in the magazine as a supplement to subscriber copies, sent by post and sent by email.

The Portugal Stopover programme allows TAP customers to travel to two destinations for the price of one, by including a stopover of between one and ten days in Lisbon or Porto, mid-journey, on the outward or return journey. TAP also makes it possible to make a second stopover in Portugal, offering a 25 per cent discount on any domestic flight. 
 
Portugal Stopover Customers have access to exclusive offers and discounts at 149 partners across the country, including hotels, restaurants, activities, tours, museums and cultural spaces, shopping and services, among others.

TAP Air Portugal Stopover is mainly aimed at the Company's long-haul markets, namely Brazil and the United States, but is available in all the markets in which TAP operates.

The company currently links Europe with 11 destinations in Brazil from Lisbon and Porto, flying to São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Belém, Belo Horizonte, Brasília, Fortaleza, Natal, Maceió, Porto Alegre, Recife and Salvador. In North America, it flies to Boston, Chicago, Miami, Newark, New York, San Francisco and Washington in the United States, and Montreal and Toronto in Canada.
