TAP receives World Travel Awards in Madeira

• Europe's Leading Airline to South America 2019 
• Europe's Leading Airline to Africa 2019
• Europe's Leading Inflight Magazine 2019

TAP won in the three categories it was nominated for at the World Travel Awards held on Madeira yesterday. It was awarded Europe's Leading Airline to Africa, Europe's Leading Airline to South America and Europe's Leading Inflight Magazine for UP Magazine. 

Awarded since 1993, the purpose of the World Travel Awards is to recognise, reward and celebrate excellence across all sectors of the global travel and tourism industry. Nominated alongside some of the most recognised airlines, TAP was chosen by the online vote mainly by professionals working in the Tourism and Travel sector, mostly travel agents and tourism organisations and operators, from more than 100 countries, as well as by members of the public.

These trophies will join the others won in previous years. TAP was named Europe’s Leading Airline to Africa Europe’s Leading Airline to South America by the World Travel Awards in 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017. It was also named World’s Leading Airline to Africa in 2011, 2012 and 2018 and World’s Leading Airline to South America in 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2018. 

UP Magazine was also voted Europe’s Leading Inflight Magazine in 2015, 2016 and 2017.

The World Travel Awards are recognition of the profound transformation and renovation the company has invested in, with the arrival of new aircraft for the fleet, the opening of new routes and a commitment to improving the travel experience of our clients.
