TAP already flies to Naples and Tenerife

  • After Florence last year, TAP now adds Naples to its network, bringing the total number of routes to Italy to six.
  • Tenerife is TAP's eleventh Spanish route and the second to the Canary Islands.
In the same month in which TAP unveiled three new routes to the United States (Chicago, San Francisco and Washington), TAP is also strengthening its European network, opening routes to Naples, Italy, and to Tenerife, Spain. Naples is TAP's sixth route to Italy, following on from the start of flights to Florence in 2018. Tenerife is TAP's eleventh Spanish route and the second to the Canary Islands, after the launch of flights to Gran Canaria in 2017.

This investment by the airline in the European market allows a greater flow of passengers in continental and intercontinental flights, and helps consolidate Lisbon as an important European tourist destination as well as a significant hub for flights with final destinations in the Americas or Africa.

Flights to Naples are daily, leaving Lisbon at 07:15 and arriving in the Italian city at 11:15, except on Saturdays, when the flights take off at 09:05 and arrive in Naples at 13:05. Flights are available from EUR 65 (one-way price including taxes). For TAP Miles&Go customers, one-way flights to Naples are available for 13,500 miles.

With more than 100 weekly flights between Portugal and Italy, customers arriving from Italy choose not only Lisbon and Porto, but also Brazilian destinations such as Fortaleza, Salvador, Recife, Natal and Rio de Janeiro. In the opposite direction, Rome and Milan are the preferred destinations for TAP clients visiting Italy from Portugal, North America and Brazil.

TAP now operates, with the launch of the route to Tenerife, 201 weekly flights between Portugal and Spain. TAP flies to nine Spanish airports, with direct flights from Lisbon and Porto to Madrid and Barcelona – the preferred Spanish destinations for travel from Portugal, Brazil and North America – and direct flights from the Portuguese capital to Bilbao, Valencia, Alicante, Malaga, Seville and Gran Canaria.

TAP operates seven flights per week to Tenerife, leaving Lisbon at 09:30 and arriving at the largest of the Canary Islands at 12:00. Bookings are available from EUR 61 (one-way price including taxes). For TAP Miles&Go customers, one-way flights to Tenerife are available for 11,000 miles.
