Boston, Newark, Toronto and Sal get more TAP flights with TAP

Strengthening of operations in North America and Africa planned for March.

TAP will increase its offer to North America next March. Flights connecting Lisbon to Boston and Newark increase from five to seven flights per week, moving to daily connections, and flights to Toronto, Canada, increase from four to five flights per week.

But first, in January next year, TAP will launch its seventh flight per week to the island of Sal, in Cape Verde.

The new quality and comfort standards that TAP offers its passengers, based on its new fleet of state-of-the-art aircraft. These are more modern and efficient, allowing greater operating profit and more environmentally friendly operation due to fuel consumption up to 25 percent lower than that of the more aged fleet, and have allowed TAP to offer more competitive products in the North American markets. The widespread approval of these new products has led to this strengthening of TAP’s operations.

TAP has also worked and invested heavily in the consolidation and operational improvement of its Lisbon hub. It has improved the connectivity of the flights of its destination network, providing passengers with optimised schedules on connections operated by the Portuguese airline between the eight airports in North America, 10 in Brazil, one in Venezuela, 16 in Africa and approximately 70 in Europe.
