TAP restarts flights to Brazil and the United Kingdom

The airline announces its April schedules between Portugal and the two countries

The end of the suspension of flights to and from Brazil and the United Kingdom means TAP is resuming operations guaranteeing air mobility between Portugal and the two countries as of this Friday.

The Company plans to operate a total of 25 weekly flights to Brazil in April. There will be two to Brasilia, two to Belo Horizonte, three to Fortaleza, six to Rio de Janeiro (one departing from Porto), six to São Paulo, two to Recife, two to Recife/Maceió and two to Salvador.

As for the United Kingdom, TAP expects to operate 15 weekly flights to London Heathrow.

The end of the restrictive measures now allows essential travel from Brazil and the UK to Portugal. Passengers arriving by air (with the exception of children under 24 months old) must show proof of a negative result from a Covid-19 RT-PCR laboratory test carried out in the 72 hours before boarding.

Additionally, passengers coming from Brazil have to remain in quarantine for 14 days, at home or at a place indicated by the health authorities.

TAP is constantly monitoring the dynamic evolution of the pandemic and its impacts on operations and the list of routes and flights available on the reservation system will be adjusted whenever required.

It should be noted that tickets purchased by 31 May, with a travel date before 31 December 2021, can be changed for free. This possibility offers passengers more flexibility so they can book and organise their journeys with confidence. All information on the flexible conditions for changing bookings can be found here.
