TAP bolsters operation to Porto Santo with six flights a week

Madeira flight connections to and from Europe and intercontinental flights have been optimised, improving mobility for islanders and making the region more attractive to tourists.

TAP is boosting its commitment to Porto Santo and will offer six flights a week from Lisbon from June, one more than in the plan it announced recently. Simultaneously, and to stimulate demand, it is launching a special offer campaign with return flights from €189. This campaign is valid for purchases made between 20 and 26 April, to travel in June.

TAP is also offering seven daily flights to Funchal this summer, five from Lisbon and two from Porto, continuing its role and responsibility as a fundamental partner in the recovery of demand for the tourist destinations of the Autonomous Region of Madeira.

The connections to several European cities that are very important for tourism in the region have been improved, such as Manchester, Paris, Frankfurt, Düsseldorf, Munich, Amsterdam, Berlin, Hamburg, Warsaw, Zurich, Prague and Geneva, benefiting all tourists flying to Madeira with connection times in Lisbon of less than two hours, in both directions, which greatly contributes to the international attractiveness of Madeira and increases the mobility of the islanders to destinations beyond Lisbon.

Since the start of the pandemic in 2020, TAP has been the only airline that has always ensured uninterrupted air connections between Madeira and mainland Portugal, guaranteeing territorial continuity and fulfilling its commitment to all the islanders.

It should be noted that all tickets for TAP flights bought before 31 May, with a travel date before 31 December 2021, can be changed for free. Even knowing that the on-board environment is one of the safest and most sterile from the point of view of contagious diseases, given the effectiveness of the on-board air filtration system due to HEPA filters, as well as the configuration of the cabin, TAP has adjusted routines and implemented new and enhanced procedures, guaranteeing all passengers a Clean&Safe environment at every stage of the journey.
