TAP simplifies fare structure on sales from 11 October

TAP's economy class Basic fare discontinued on fares from Portugal, Europe and North Africa.

TAP is simplifying the fare structure on the Company's flights and is discontinuing Basic fare on tickets that do not include intercontinental routes.

Therefore, on sales starting from 11 October and for flights in Portugal, the rest of Europe and North Africa, starting from 11 November, TAP Customers will continue to be able to purchase the Discount, Classic and Plus products in economy class and Executive and TOP Executive in executive class.

The fares will maintain their previous characteristics. The discontinuation of the Basic fare allows TAP to offer only three fares in economy class, with a view to providing a flexible and customisable offer with greater transparency, clarity and simplicity.

Thus, when travelling in Portugal, the rest of Europe and North Africa, passengers now have three options to travel in economy class and two in executive class, which correspond to five fares with different services and offers tailored to the needs of each passenger.

For those who only like to travel with hand luggage, the Discount fare will be an advantageous option, with very competitive prices. Passengers who wish to travel with at least one piece of hold baggage and who also wish to book their seat on board may choose the Classic fare. If they are looking for even greater comfort and flexibility, the Plus fare allows them to reserve a front seat, priority check-in and flexibility when changing tickets, among other advantages.

Regardless of the chosen fare, Customers may also purchase extra services or upgrade to the next fare at any time.
