Aircalin’s second A330neo successfully delivered on time

TAP Maintenance & Engineering successfully delivered to Aircalin the second A330neo, after performing on time C-checks of the two aircraft of this model from the New Caledonia airline fleet.

TAP Air Portugal itself operates a fleet of 19 A330-900 neo aircraft, assuring in-house maintenance and engineering works for its fleet.  Thus, Aircalin is the first third-party airline to benefit from TAP M&E know-how and experience performing C-checks on A330neo.

Fabrice Teisseyre, Aircalin’s vice President Maintenance & Engineering, considers that “for the first C Check for both our A330neo, and during this very difficult COVID period for the whole Aeronautics industry, it was strategically very challenging and important for Aircalin to find an available MRO known for its ability and professionalism. After several consultations with different MRO’s, TAP was the best placed to meet our expectations. We were very pleased to be able to commit an agreement to perform the C Check in Lisbon for our two Aircrafts.”

“Aircalin and its on-site team were impressed by the high level of professionalism demonstrated by TAP on a daily basis throughout the two projects. It was also very important for Aircalin that the deadlines were properly respected, with a double engine change scheduled on the first aircraft could be done on time, and a reliable with smooth return to operations for the second aircraft was completed”, the Nouméa, New Caledonia based airline vice president adds.

“TAP and all its teams did a really great job for reaching all of Aircalin’s requirements and goals. We are confident to continuing further with TAP which has fulfilled our expectations on this challenging period”, Fabrice Teisseyre says in conclusion.

“We are delighted meeting Aircalin expectations, namely the quality of the work performed and aircraft´s Turn Around Time.  Customer satisfaction is paramount to assure TAP third party maintenance services sustainability”, says Filipe Morais de Almeida TAP M&E VP Marketing & Sales.
